The Washington Center

Founded in 1975 the Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars is an independent nonprofit organization that provides select students challenging opportunities to work and learn in Washington, D.C. and London, England for academic credit.

It offers two types of programs: internships and academic seminars.

Internships last a semester or summer-long and are tailored to provide meaningful work experiences that will enhance student’s resumes and help launch their careers.

Academic Seminars are intensive learning experiences that focus on specific topics such as National Security, the Presidency, and the Middle East Peace Process. Visit locations such as Capitol Hill, CNN, the Newseum, embassies and many others. Listen to respected speakers such as Ted Koppel, Andrea Mitchell, Howard Dean and more.

There are so many exciting opportunities available that the best way to find the one that fits is to explore the website at http://www.twc.edu/.

After you find you find the seminar or internship you are interested you can speak with us at the Guerra Honors Program Office for further guidance or to answer any additional questions you may have.
