Civic Engagement

The UTPA Civic Engagement Initiative is a non-partisan student, faculty and staff driven effort. The goal is to encourage UTPA community members and their families to be politically empowered and involved in their prospective communities. It is about each one of us becoming aware, having a voice and making a difference.

Do you matter?

How do I Know which laws will directly affect me?
The purpose of the Initiative is to bring up proposed legislation . . .

Who represents me…and how do I contact them?

Why vote at all?
