As the home to Public Affairs, Alumni Relations and our creative team at Studio Twelve01, UMC creates and executes engaging strategies that sustain a strong brand image of UTPA among its many constituencies.

Office of Public Affairs

UTPA Public AffairsThe University of Texas-Pan American is an important educational, cultural and community service hub for the Rio Grande Valley. As such, it is the responsibility of the Office of Public Affairs to increase public awareness of the University’s many academic programs, research initiatives, student and faculty achievements and major events, both internally and externally. This is achieved by building positive, mutually beneficial relationships with news media outlets throughout the region, state and nation.

Studio Twelve01 (Marketing & Creative Services)

Studio Twelve01Organized to function as a full-service public relations/marketing/graphic design agency, Studio Twelve01 has responsibilities for producing targeted communication pieces that are strategically sound and creatively strong, building the University's brand image nationally, developing marketing initiatives that consider a social media component and creating data- and research-driven media plans that maximize effectiveness.

Office of Alumni Relations

UTPA AlumniAlumni Relations at UT Pan American is focused on sustaining lifelong relationships between the University and its former students. As stewards of the University’s past and stakeholders in its future, engaged alumni are vital to UTPA’s success. It is responsibility of the Office of Alumni Relations to develop programs and activities, in association with the UTPA Alumni Association, that encourage former students to stay involved and to give back to their alma mater.
