The main hall will be the stage of reference where The University will continue applauding the Mariachis, the Ballet Folklórico, and Valley Symphony Orchestra as well ashosting nationally and internationally renowned artists and speakers.
The 1,000-seat theatre will meet the Rio Grande Valley’s growing needs and give its residents the opportunity to experience the arts at their best. “Our community will have an auditorium that will provide a state-of-the-art venue for music and dance performances,” said UT Pan American President Robert S. Nelsen.
The main hall is part of the Academic and Performing Arts Center's construction projected for completion in the Fall 2014.
