Downstairs Lounge – “Lounge About”
If you’d like to surpass the sweat, the WRSC’s got game. Members can hit backhand bullets on the Table Tennis tables located on the ground floor. Positioned between the main gym and the weight area, tables are always open for play, and paddles can be checked out at the member service desk. Nearby couches and chairs provide a place to lounge or watch the action – tableside.
Aerobic Studio – “Dance to Your Own Beat”
Whether you are a seasoned hip-hopper or just wanting to learn some new moves, the WRSC’s Aerobics Program can help you perfect your pirouette. Drop-in classes – from Zumba to Belly Dancing – are designed to provide a broad spectrum of dance instruction at all levels.
Aerobic Studio – “Pick the Grove That Makes You Move”
If you like a structured, instructor-led workout, our group fitness classes – held morning, noon, and night – will meet your needs. From aerobic and cardio to sculpting and toning to mind and body classes, these 30- to 60 minute sessions are designed to help you achieve your fitness goals with scheduled workouts. For those looking for a little more, a series of specialty programs, including bootcamp and broncs on the run, are also offered throughout the year. Classes, like spinning are held in one of the dance studios located on the second floor of the WRSC. But those looking for the aqua aerobics class should report to the pool.
Main Gym – “Get a Jump on Your Day”
Bad weather won’t stop you from sinking shots, setting a spike or batting a birdie because the WRSC’s main gymnasium has the court to accommodate your game rain or shine. Dribblers will find two basketball courts, complete with side and end lines and scoreboard, which can be used for full-on game or a short around. The space is also lined for volleyball and badminton and includes equipment for both sports. If weather permits, parquet pounders can take their games outside – day or night – on one of two lighted outdoor courts. Either way, the ball’s in play.
MAC – “Cleats and Skates Not Needed”
Soccer doesn’t always have to be played on a field, especially when the multipurpose activity court, located on the first floor in the back of the WRSC, is begging for action. Striped for indoor soccer, the space is complete with penalty boxes and a scoreboard. The space can also accommodate basketball and volleyball, and spectators can view the action from a wall of Plexiglas windows.
Outdoor – “Last One in the Pool’s…”
With mild year-round temperatures, the WRSC’s outdoor pools – a 25-meter lap, a leisure pool, and a lazy river – provide the perfect place to catch some rays or lap away your worries. Specialty programs, including swim lessons and waterbabies, all utilize the WRSC pools. The leisure pool, surrounded by palm trees, lounge chairs, and umbrella tables, is the idyllic spot to relax or join in a pool basketball game. A dedicated entrance from the men’s and women’s locker rooms make entering and exiting the pool area a breeze. What are you waiting for? Get splashing.
