Q: What are the hours of operation?
A: Fall & Spring: Monday through Thursday, 6am - 11pm / Friday, 6am – 9pm / Saturday, 8am-8pm / Sunday, 12pm-7pm
Q: Who is allowed in the facility?
A: UTPA Students, Faculty/Staff, Alumni, Retirees, Spouses, and *Dependents (*children ages 4–17, some restrictions apply)
Q: What are some of the group exercise classes offered?
A: Zumba, aerobox, pilates, yoga, spinning, water aerobics, ab blast, lower body blast, boot camp, hardcore, step and sculpt
Q: How do I obtain a parking permit?
A: The UTPA Police Department issues parking permits with proof of a WRSC Membership and a fee of $8/month. Passes will be valid for a month so you must renew your parking permit on a monthly basis.
Q: Do you offer personal training?
A: Yes, to register you must visit Member Services at the WRSC, There you can look through our certified personal trainers’ profiles which include their weekly availability, certifying organization, experience and bio.
Q: When can children use the facility?
A: Children ages 4 to 17 are welcome into the facility with adult supervision during family hours. Family hours are Friday 5-9pm, Saturday 8am - 8pm, and Sunday 12-7pm. Family Hours are extended to normal operating hours during university published holidays, semester breaks and summer sessions. Approved special programs may allow children under 4 years of age into the facility.
Q: Payroll Deduction - Since I am a faculty/staff member at UTPA, can I deduct my membership fee from my paycheck?
A: We offer payroll deduction at the beginning of each fall semester. For specific information, contact our Marketing and Member Service Coordinator, Cristina Rodriguez email@example.com.
Q: Can I purchase a dependent membership for my step-children?
A: As long as you are the legal guardian and can provide proof of the relationship, step-children can obtain a membership.
Q: Can I purchase a membership for my partner?
A: You must provide proof of the relationship. For specific information, please contact our Marketing & Member Service Coordinator, Cristina Rodriguez firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q: What do I have to do to reserve space in the facility?
A: You must submit a facility reservation request form 2 weeks in advance. Depending on the request, equipment and staff charges may be administered.
