Q: What are the WRSC operational hours?
A: Fall & Spring: Monday through Friday, 6am – 10pm / Saturday, 8am-8pm / Sunday, 12pm-7pm
Summer Session: Monday through Friday, 7am-9pm / Saturday, 8am-7pm / Sunday, 12pm-6pm

Q: Who is allowed in the WRSC?
A: UTPA Students, Faculty/Staff, Alumni, Retirees, Spouses, and Dependents (children ages 4–17)

Q: What are some of the group exercise classes offered at the WRSC?
A: Zumba, aerobox, pilates, yoga, spinning, water aerobics, ab blast, lower body blast, boot camp, hardcore, step and sculpt

Q: How do I obtain a parking permit?
A: The UTPA Police Department issues parking permits with proof of a WRSC Membership and a fee of $8/month. Passes will be valid for a month so you must renew your parking permit on a monthly basis.

Q: Do you offer personal training?
A: We do currently offer personal training. For more information, contact Colette Cabot at cabotcj@utpa.edu.

Q: When can children use the WRSC?
A: In the fall and spring semesters dependents are allowed to enter during operational hours on the weekends. In the summer semesters and winter recess dependents may enter the facility during all operational hours.

Q: Payroll Deduction - Since I am a faculty/staff member at UTPA, can I deduct my WRSC membership fee from my paycheck?
A: Currently, we no longer offer payroll deduction for WRSC Faculty/Staff memberships. However, we do allow scheduled payments for annual memberships (excluding student and dependent memberships)utilizing monthly credit card payments.

Q: Can I purchase a WRSC dependent membership for my step-children?
A: As long as you are the legal guardian and can provide proof of the relationship, step-children can obtain a WRSC membership.

Q: Can I purchase a WRSC membership for my partner?
A: You must provide proof of the relationship. For more specifics, please contact the Assistant Director, Colleen Price, at 665-7808.

Q: What do I have to do to reserve a certain location at the WRSC?
A: You must submit a facility reservation request form 2 weeks in advance to our Office Clerk. Depending on the request, equipment and staff charges may be administered.
