FOR FAMILIES VISITING UTPA:
Future Broncs
Length of Tour: 1 hour and 30 minutes
Audience: Available to families visiting UTPA
This tour is designed for the prospective student, accompanied with family, planning to attend The University of Texas-Pan American. Visit our beautiful campus with your family and learn about the opportunities UTPA has to offer you! This tour includes a presentation with an Admissions Counselor and a walking tour of the campus.
FOR SPECIAL GROUPS:
Discover UTPA
Length of Tour: 1 hour and 15 minutes
Audience: Available to ALL grade levels
Teachers: Get your students on the college track! This tour is recommended for pre-college age students ranging from elementary to high school, community college students and all UTPA guests. Friends and classmates will discover exactly what UTPA has to offer. This tour service begins with an authentic THINK BIG film and continues on to a walking tour showcasing the 7 academic colleges and the entire campus.
High School groups have the option to add any of the following to the Discover UTPA tour:
- An Admissions Presentation Length of time: 20 minutes
A presentation given by an Admissions Counselor which informs the prospective Bronc the 5 different ways they can take to be admitted to UTPA.
- Wellness & Recreational Sports Complex tour Length of time: 20 minutes
During this tour, groups will witness firsthand all the services and facilities of the WRSC. This tour is only available during morning visits.
Journey through the Solar System
Length of Tour: 45 minutes
Audience: Only available to Elementary and Middle School groups
Take a walk around the galaxy with this tour that showcases the planets representing our solar system using buildings in the UTPA Science Building courtyard. Groups scheduling a showing in the UTPA Planetarium will view the planetarium show and the take solar system courtyard tour. This tour includes a journey taken in conjunction with the Planetarium.
FOR SELF-GUIDED TOURS:
UTPA Campus Trek
Length of Tour: Varies, self-guided
Audience: Available to ALL grade levels
Groups who participate in the Campus Trek, including their school provided chaperones, will search for campus landmarks at Bronc Country. A brochure will be provided to the group leader which includes helpful photographs and clues! The recommended group size per chaperone is 15 students. The Trek begins and ends at the Visitors Center.
Seating capacity in the Planetarium is 40. Larger groups will be separated into smaller groups and will enjoy additional sites on the UTPA campus and rotate into the Planetarium in 30 minute intervals. Group capacity per Planetarium tour is 150.
