Technology Services provides technical support in the maintenance and repair of media equipped classrooms on campus, see list below. Additionally, we provide repair services for audio/visual equipment on campus. We provide this AV repair service for a fee that consists of labor charges and parts. Should you have a need for technical assistance in a multimedia classroom or need audio/visual repair services, call the helpdesk at 665-2020 or send an email to avsuppprt@utpa.edu.

Classroom Technology Support Tutorial Video

The Classroom Technology support video instructs faculty and staff on how to use the multimedia components found in the classrooms with instructional technology hardware.

The main control at the multimedia desk is the touch-screen panel. It has buttons and controls to operate the computer, television, VCR player, and DVD player, and to adjust the volume.

The touch screen does not control the computer monitor power and the document camera power. These must be powered on separetely. Also, the multimedia desk has a separate switch to raise or lower the desk.

Multimedia Classrooms Throughout Campus

Most of these rooms have a video/data projector, a networked computer, a document camera, a VHS/VCR and loudspeakers for program audio. For operating instructions on a multimedia system, click on the particular classroom needed.
