Procedure
- When initial request is received via E-mail, Web Developer who is on call for Webhelp should respond to the request. The Web Developer will ask the customer to forward a Web Services Request Form to begin processing the request. Refer customer to the Internet Services “Request a Web Site” web page. Instructions for the form are included in the web page: http://www.utpa.edu/it/internetservices/request.htm
- When the customer completes and submits the Web Services Request Form to the Director, the Director will assign the new web site to the Web Developer who began the initial contact.
- Web Developer will revise the Web Services Request Form for the specifications checked and for special instructions.
- If a signature is missing, return Form and contact Customer
- If Budget Account is not provided, web request cannot be processed
- If all signatures are included and all required information is complete, the Web Developer will then contact the Customer and ask to meet to discuss the new web site in detail. At the time of the initial meeting, the Web Developer will give standard guidelines and timeline for project. The assigned Web Developer will be in contact with the Customer for content, data, pictures and documents provided by the Customer/department requesting the web site.
- The Web Developer will schedule the new project into his/her current projects’ list and will notify the Customer when the new web site will be the next target project.
- When Web Developer is ready to begin the new project, procedure for “Create Web Site in Portal” will follow.
