Name: Web site Maintenance Request

Purpose

The goal of this procedure is to provide the steps necessary for a “Web Site Maintenance” request process

Scope

This procedure is intended for all Current Staff members of the Internet Services Department.

Prerequisites

A viable UTPA e-mail Account must be in existence (in order to be able to access the University server) and e-mail Account must be setup in webhelp@utpa.edu account to receive e-mail requests from UTPA community.

Responsibilities

Web Developer

Procedure

  1. When initial request is received via E-mail, Web Developer who is on call for Webhelp should respond to the request.
  2. Web Developer will first respond to the customer that the request has been received and will notify the customer when the request is complete.
  3. Web Developer will begin to work on the request.
    • First evaluate if the maintenance request is for a current live web site
    • B. If it is a request for an assigned web site and is not yet online, forward request to respective Web Developer.
  4. Once request is complete, Web Developer will notify the customer that the request is completed.
