Emergency Tuition and Fees Loan
- The purpose of the Emergency Tuition and Fees loan program is to provide students an alternative other than cash payment for applicable tuition and fee costs per semester to attend the University. Students must not be on financial aid or must have exhausted all their financial aid for the purpose of paying tuition and fees to qualify for this loan.
- Students must enroll for a minimum of six (6) semester hours for the Fall and Spring semesters and a minimum of three (3) semester hours for the First and Second Summer sessions in order to qualify for this type of loan.
- Students must not be in default on any Federal or Institutional student loan.
- Students must not have any outstanding debt to the University other than current tuition and fees.
- The Emergency Tuition Loan Promissory note cannot be mailed out. The processing of the Promissory note must be done in person by the applicant or by an individual given the authority by the applicant (Notarized statement required) to process loan documents on his/her behalf.
- Students must complete a loan application and sign the Promissory note in order for the loan to be set up.
- Applicants will not be permitted to complete their Emergency Tuition and Fees Loan Promissory note until picture identification is presented. The only exception to this rule is if the Loan Collections Office staff can identify the applicant.
