Can I get this award every semester?
To receive a renewal award, a student must meet the following requirements:
- Receive a TEXAS Grant in a prior year and complete the year making satisfactory academic progress as required by the TEXAS Grant program;
- Be a Texas resident;
- Enroll and remain enrolled by each tuition due date on at least a ¾ time basis (nine hours)
- Show financial need; and
- Not be convicted of a felony or crime involving a controlled substance, unless two years have passed since restitution to society has been paid.
In order to be considered for a renewal award, students will need to apply and complete a financial aid application by October 1, 2007. Students who apply after October 1, 2007 or have an incomplete file after October 1, 2007 deadline, will not be awarded if funding is no longer available.
