Students, Welcome to YOUR Learning Assistance Center! Of the major emphases stated in our Mission Statement, the LAC is especially prepared to: “address obstacles that interfere with student progress.” Academic or personal challenges, we are ready and committed to provide you the best student support services.

For almost thirty years, The University of Texas-Pan American has made it a priority to provide the necessary resources in support of the LAC. Because of this support, we boast one of the most accessible Tutorial Centers in the state; an International Admissions and Services Office for our students from over forty different countries; our Student-Athlete P.O.W.E.R. Center (facilitating our UTPA Student-Athletes ast they Promote Overall Wellness, Excellence, and Responsibility); and Supplemental Instruction with proven success in assisting students to score a letter grade better in the classroom.
