The University Testing Services provides a variety of testing services for new students, currently enrolled students, and the community. We’ve created these pages to make your experience at the Testing Services office just a bit more pleasant. Whether you are a student, staff/faculty, or just visiting, we hope you find the information you need. - New students are required to take the THEA or ACCUPLACER as part of the Steps to College Success Program by the State of Texas
- Students who are interested in "testing out" of a class due to previous experience or educational background in the course content should consider the Credit by Examination Program
- High School students can take the ACT Assessment or SAT at UTPA as an admissions requirement
