Committee on Student Organizations
All new or revised constitutions are required to be reviewed by the Committee on Student Organizations. You can submit constitutions for review by sending it to osd@utpa.edu. If you need assistance in developing your organization constitution, feel free to get assistance from one of the staff in OSD. Sample constitutions are also available to assist you.
The Committee on Student Organizations (CSO) is composed of faculty, staff and five students who are appointed by the Student Government Association President.
The primary responsibilities of the CSO are:
- To review and recommend policies for the approval and supervision of student organizations.

- To serve as a hearing body for organizations that are alleged to have violated University or Regents' policies, rules, or regulations as outlined in the Handbook of Operating Procedures, 5.6.1, Recognition and Approval or Student Organizations.
