The Student Leadership Academy provides an opportunity for you to join other students in enriching leadership experiences for growth in your personal, professional, and campus life.

The Academy offers all services free of charge to all UTPA students interested in understanding and developing their leadership abilities. We invite you to get directly involved by attending any of our programs and events.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Student Leadership Academy is to provide a wide variety of opportunities that complement the classroom experience by promoting student involvement, enhancing leadership skills and preparing students to play active societal roles on campus and in their community.

The Student Leadership Academy will intentionally create meaningful learning experiences that teach and challenge students through service opportunities, interactive workshops and insights from accomplished leaders, thus positively impacting student success and personal development.
