UTPA Swim Clinic – 9/15 – 12/15

UTPA hosted the first follow-up for the 2009 EMBHSSC at UTPA students during HESTEC. This summer, 48 students attended the two-week academic residential camp for rising 5th, 6th and 7th graders from Hidalgo County. The camp provided activities, experiments, projects and field experiences to enrich students’ mathematics, science, technology and communication skills.

ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Summer Science Camp Follow-Up – 10/3/09

UTPA GEAR UP PSAT Boot Camp 2009 – 10/9 – 10/11

UTPA GEAR UP Math Camp – 12/4 – 12/6

DECA District 1 Leadership Conference – 10/30/09

UTPA will host the annual DECA District 1 Leadership Conference. Over 200 DECA high school juniors and seniors will be on campus for this event.

MUSE

The Migrant University Summer Experience (MUSE) Program is a 6-week program for rising junior and seniors. Students are given the option to take high school courses, or if they meet the requirements are allowed to take college courses at the university through concurrent enrollment. Through this program students not only develop academically but they build career and leadership skills as well.
