Welcome

While you are here, we want you to take an active role in your education. This means getting involved. With the variety of student organizations we have, I believe you will find your niche. Each of our offices creates and sponsors programs that I believe will foster both your academic and personal growth.

I would also strongly encourage you to take advantage of living in the residence halls. This experience will further immerse you into the university community. We offer a number of programs in the residence halls designed to enhance your experience as well to support your ability to persist at the institution.

Overall, our mission is to work collaboratively with faculty and staff to provide a safe and secure environment that fosters the intellectual, psychological, physical, social, spiritual, and career development of students.

Therefore we need you to take advantage of these opportunities that will help you develop the knowledge and skill set that will prepare you for your future beyond UTPA. Remember we are here for you. We are UTPA!
