HEP serves 100 students per year. Class size is typically limited to 16 students or less. Instruction is held Monday through Friday between 8 am and 4 pm.
HEP is currently providing instruction specifically geared towards the 2014 series of the GED. This new series was implemented on January 2, 2014.
The following subjects/topics are covered in preparation for the GED exam:
- Core topics
- Reasoning through Language Arts
- Mathematical Reasoning
- Social Studies
- Computer Lab (Keyboarding)
In addition to academic instruction, information and guidance is also provided through a structured Human Development class and Life Management Skills retreat. Topics addressed during these activities include team building skills, leadership skills, stress management, time management, anger management, relationships, college and career readiness, and other issues that might afflict students now and in the future.
