Academic Advisement and Mentoring (AAM) - http://portal.utpa.edu/utpa_main/daa_home/aam_home/
The AAM Center assists students in identifying and understanding their potential interests, values, abilities, needs, and goals, and guides them towards becoming informed consumers of university resources. Its primary focus is to advise students so they are clear on all of their Texas Success Initiative requirements.

Learning Assistance Center (LAC) - www.utpa.edu/dept/lac
The LAC offers academic tutoring in both individual and group sessions. LAC tutors work with university students at all levels, in various subject areas, and are certified by the College Reading and Learning Association.  The LAc also offers supplemental instruction in certain courses.

High School to University Programs and Testing Services (HSUPTS) - http://utpa.edu/step
The testing component of HSUPTS provides testing information and services for ACT, SAT, THEA, Quick THEA, GRE and various other exams.

UTPA Library - www.utpa.edu/library
Provides access to the UTPA library.  The library also has a laptop loan program.

Provides access to an online admission and scholarship application, as well as other valuable information, which can be used for every Texas Public University, plus some private and two-year schools.

College For Texans Campaign- www.CollegeForTexans.com
A project of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, this site provides information and links to assist Texans with preparing for, applying for, and paying for college or technical school.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) - www.fafsa.ed.gov
Provides access to an online application that ensures that all eligible individuals who can benefit from federally funded or federally guaranteed financial assistance for education beyond high school, receive that assistance.

Texas Education Agency (TEA) - www.tea.state.tx.us
TEA is the state agency serving Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade (including adult education) whose mission is to provide leadership, guidance, and resources to help schools meet the educational needs of all students.
