All new students (transfer students as well as entering freshmen) are required to attend New Student Orientation.

Which Orientation is Right For Me?

Entering Freshmen Orientation is for:

• Seniors in high school who are about to graduate high school or who have recently graduated.
• Transfer students who have received less than 15 college credit hours

 Transfer Orientation is for:

• Transfer students with 15 or more college credit hours

During orientation you will

Enhance your social integration into the college community by learning about the UTPA campus, clubs and organizations, student services, financial aid, academic programs and student life.

Improve your college coping skills by interacting with incoming freshmen just like you and faculty and staff from UTPA.

Increase your knowledge and utilization of campus-support services that will make your transition to UTPA a smooth and successful one.
