Transfer Student Advisement

Transfer  Student Advisement is mandatory prior to attending transfer orientation.  Schedule your advisement  appointment session at one  of the following academic   advisement centers (based on your TSI Status):

If you are TSI affected in any of  the following areas:  Reading, Writing and/or Math please call to schedule your advisement  appointment at 956/381-2529 or email advisement@utpa.edu.  Your appointment will be at the Advisement Center located at the University Center Room 215  (UC 215).

If you have cleared TSI in all areas, please email aamc@utpa.edu or call  956/316-7120. To schedule your advisement  appointment at the Academic Advisement and Mentoring Center located at Southwick Hall Room 105 (SWH 105).

 

Transfer Student Reservations:

To reserve your Orientation date, please email your reservation request to orientation@utpa.edu. Please mail in your $15.00 reservation fee and payment form to The University of Texas-Pan American, Payments and Collections, 1201 West University Drive, Edinburg, TX 78541-2999. Note that reservations must be received by the RSVP deadline to guarantee your seat. Download the payment form.
   

Reservation Changes or Cancellations:

Please contact the Admissions and New Student Services office for transfer students at 956/381-3541 or email orientation@utpa.edu.

Directions to UTPA

The local map provides general directions to our campus entrance and visitor center from nearby cities.  The Google map provides specific route information in an interactive web page.

Parking Instructions:

Parking Lot G is reserved for New Transfer Orientation parking. Parking citations will be issued if students choose to park outside of the designated area.

Check-In Instructions:

Please check-in on or before 12:00 P.M. in the Student Union Building. From Parking Lot G follow the signs along the sidewalk that lead to the Student Union Building.

Special Accommodations:

Students requiring special accommodations should contact the Office of Services for Persons with Disabilities at 956/316-7005 at least five (5) days prior to the orientation date.

The New Student Orientation Office offers accommodations for individuals with disabilities. If you need special accommodations, contact the Admissions and New Student Services Office at 1-866-441-UTPA (8872).
