Asbestos Awareness Training will be given in the Academic Support Facilities Complex (ASFC) Conference Room 146 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Note: This training is mandatory for all
construction, building maintenance and janitorial personnel who work in commercial buildings and schools and who may come into contact with asbestos-containing materials.

Attendees will learn how to identify suspect asbestos-containing materials, respond to asbestos emergencies, recognize asbestos hazards, and prevent exposure to themselves and building occupants. The class satisfies the AHERA and OSHA Class IV requirements for training employees who are likely to come into contact with, but do not disturb asbestos containing materials.
