Introduction
The main goal of the UTPA Occupational Health & Safety Program is to provide and maintain the health and well being of all university staff and faculty. The DEHS is charged with keeping staff and faculty in compliance with all applicable regulations as they are amended.

Training
Health and safety awareness will be promoted among managers, supervisors, employees, and others (visitors, contractors, community members) through orientation programs and regularly scheduled safety education and training sessions.
