The purpose of the Occupational Health and Safety Program for Personnel Involved in Animal Care /and or Use (OH&S) is to develop and implement procedures that protect the health and safety of personnel who conduct research with animals as well as those personnel who support the research. All research personnel who work with laboratory animals or animal tissues on a regular basis are incorporated into this program. Animal contact is defined as contact with animals or animal tissues.
