Parking Update

Parking at UTPA is constantly changing due to the construction of new buildings and parking lots. Here you can find the most current parking information on campus. As with all UTPA property, a valid parking permit is required in each of the parking lots below.

Reserved Parking Hours
The hours for Reserved Parking are from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Be on the look out for any signs indicating otherwise.

Parking Lot R
Parking Lot R is located northeast of the Education Complex (at the old baseball stadium). This is a 225 space University parking lot and is available for Zone 3 parking M-F. Crossover time is 7:00 pm students with a Zone 1 or Zone 2 permit may use this parking lot after 7:00 pm M-F. As with all University parking lots, a valid parking permit is required to park.

Parking Lot SParking Lot S is located on the northeast corner of Sugar and Schunior. This is a 400 space University parking lot and is open to all students, faculty, staff and visitors. As with all University parking lots, a valid parking permit is required to park.

Parking Lot S-1Parking Lot S-1 is located on the north side of the Road Runner Baseball Stadium. This is a 505 space University parking lot and is open to all students, faculty, staff and visitors. As with all University parking lots, a valid parking permit is required to park. Remote parking permits are available to students and employees who choose to park in lot S-1 and ride the shuttle. Parking Lot S-2
Parking Lot S-2 is located on the north side of the Personnel (Human Resources) office. This is a University Zone 1 parking lot and is open to all students, faculty, staff and visitors. As with all University parking lots, a valid parking permit is required to park. Additional parking spaces were recently added to this parking lot and will be available to use on Monday, August 27, 2012.

Parking Lot T-1
Parking Lot T-1 is located off of Van Week St. north of the Education Complex. This is a University Zone 2 parking lot and is open to all students, faculty, staff and visitors. As with all University parking lots, a valid parking permit is required to park. Additional parking spaces were recently added to this parking lot and will be available to use on Monday, August 27, 2012.

Parking Lot T-2 is located off of Van Week St. north of the Math General Classroom Building. This is a University Zone 2 parking lot and is open to all students, faculty, staff and visitors. As with all University parking lots, a valid parking permit is required to park. Additional parking spaces were recently added to this parking lot and will be available to use on Monday, August 27, 2012.

Parking Lot U-1Parking Lot U-1 is located on the north east corner of 5th and VanWeek St. (west of the railroad tracks.) This is a 102 space University parking lot and is open to all students, faculty, staff and visitors. As with all University parking lots, a valid parking permit is required to park.

Parking Lot U-2Parking Lot U-2 is located off of 5th St. east of Lot F and H&PEI (west of the railroad tracks.) This is a 86 space University parking lot and is open to all students, faculty, staff and visitors. As with all University parking lots, a valid parking permit is required to park.

Parking Lot U-3Parking Lot U-3 is located off of 5th St. east of Lot F and H&PEII (west of the railroad tracks.) This is a 91 space University parking lot and is open to all students, faculty, staff and visitors. As with all University parking lots, a valid parking permit is required to park.

Parking Lot U-4Parking Lot U-4 is located off of 5th St. north east of Lot G and ITT bldg. (west of the railroad tracks.) This is a 69 space University parking lot and is open to all students, faculty, staff and visitors. As with all University parking lots, a valid parking permit is required to park.

Resident Parking (Bronc Village, Unity Hall and Troxel/Heritage)
Resident parking spaces at Unity, Bronc Village and parking lot B are available to all students with a class R resident permit. The gray resident parking spaces are reserved for apartment and dorm residents only. Residents must display a proper permit at all times. As with all University parking lots, a valid parking permit is required to park. To obtain a resident parking permit students must present a valid picture ID and their vehicle license plate information.
