  • 10/01/2014 - By federal law (the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act), institutions of higher learning are required to produce an annual security and fire safety report. This report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University of Texas – Pan American, and on public property within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from campus. The report also includes fire safety information descriptions of institutional policies concerning campus security, such as policies concerning sexual assault, how to report a crime, etc.  You may obtain a paper copy of this report by contacting the University Police Department at 956-665-7151 or the Office of the Dean of Students at (956) 665-7151

  • 06/20/2014 - Officers from UTPA were recently recognized by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) of RGV at their 4th Annual Mothers Against Drunk Driving Law Enforcement Recognition Event, “Take The Wheel”. This event was held in Brownsville, TX on June 20, 2014. We are extremely proud of our officers and their commitment to making our streets a safer place. These officers were selected from a large group of fellow officers, deputies and troopers from law enforcement agencies in Cameron or Hidalgo Counties.
