Welcome to The University of Texas-Pan American Payroll Office home page. The Payroll Office functions under the Office of the Comptroller, Business Affairs Division.

The Mission of the Payroll Office is to provide customer service to the University students, faculty and staff by:

• ensuring prompt, accurate processing of payments in accordance with applicable laws and policies
• providing accurate payroll-related information in a courteous, professional manner
• preparing timely and accurate payroll reports
• supporting the ongoing development of payroll staff and processing systems

Online W-2 Tax Information for Tax Year 2012 now available

Online W-2 Wage and Tax Statements are now available via UTPA Employee Self Service.
Visit Oracle 24/7 at http://www.utpa.edu/oracle24-7 and log in to Oracle System. 

• Select “UTPA Employee Self Service” responsibility
• Select “Employee W2”
• Wait a few seconds and a W-2 in PDF format will be brought up automatically.

According to Oracle, the online W-2 meets the substitute forms requirements specified in IRS Pub 1141. 

The “Reconciliation of W-2 Earnings” statement is also available via UTPA Employee Self Service menu.
As with the online W2, visit Oracle 24/7 at http://www.utpa.edu/oracle24-7 and log in to Oracle System.

• Select “UTPA Employee Self Service” responsibility
• Select menu item “UTPA Employee Self Service Menu” and double click
• Select “Reconciliation of W-2 Earnings”
• Default will be “31-DEC-2012”, click on the “Submit” button
• A summary  will appear, with “Status” of “Completed”.  Below that is “Outputs” parameter, listing “RTF”, “PDF”
  1. RTF will download a word document
  2. PDF will download a document in PDF format

• Select either RTF or PDF by clicking on either one.  A window will ask you to open the file.  Click the “Open” button.
• The UTPA PR-W2 Reconciliation Report will appear

Employees must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed to view online statements.

NOTE: Paper 2012 W-2’s were mailed 1-28-2012 to all employees via U.S. Postal Service to the address on file with UTPA’s Office of Human Resources.
