What's New?  UWC schedule for remainder of semester

With the end of the semester rapidly approaching, many students are interested in the UWC's schedule for the upcoming weeks.  

Thanksgiving Week

For Nov. 23-Nov. 25, the UWC is open from 8-6 p.m. The center is closed for the holiday beginning Thursday, but the online tutor will respond to papers submitted over the break on Sunday, November 29. 

Week after Thanksgiving

The center will be open on Monday, November 30-Thursday, December 3, from 8-6.  This will be the last week with extended hours (after 5 p.m.), so you will want to plan accordingly.  December 4 will be a regular Friday, so tutors will be available from 8-1. 

Weeks of Dead Days and Finals

The writing center is open the last two weeks of the semester for students completing writing projects.  The center will be open Monday through Thursday from 8-5 p.m. and Friday from 8-1 p.m. for both weeks.  Be prepared to wait for a tutor since tutor schedules are adjusted due to final exam preparation and assigned final exam times.  (Remember most tutors, like you, are students). 

Spring Semester 2010

The UWC will reopen on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, for the spring semester with the entire staff returning on Monday, January 25, 2010.
