Tenure Track Pathways [HOP 6.2.6]1 Due Dates

College Council elects a tenured faculty member and an alternate to serve on the University Committee

Candidates going up for Tenure/Promotion in the next academic year submit External Review request to Department Chair (Reference HOP 6.2.6.C.6)

  • April 14, 2014

1 HOP 6.2.6.F.2 "Tenure-track faculty must submit his or her tenure review portfolio and an updated professional development/growth plan for review..."

* HOP 6.2.6.F.4 & 6.2.7.F.3 "A request for reconsideration must be initiated in writing no more thant ten (10) working days after the faculty member has been notified of the recommendation... The tenure/promotion comittee or evaluator with whom a request is filed shall submit a written response to the faculty member within ten (10) working days of receipt of the request... A faculty member may write a reply to the evaluator's response for inclusion in his or her portfolio. The reply must be submitted within five (5) working days of the faculty member's receipt of the evaluator's response"

HOP 6.2.6.F.2 "If any recommendation by the Department Tenure Committee, department chair, or Dean is for non-renewal of appointment, the faculty member will also be evaluated by the College Tenure Committee and the Provost regardless of the review year." The individual colleges may choose to have more frequent College Committee review in addition to the 4th and 6th year university standard.
