Online Learning (COLTT)
Many UTPA students take classes which utilize some kind of online learning technology. If you’re not used to platforms like Blackboard Learn, you may find yourself needing a little help orienting yourself to these technologies. Our Center for Online Learning, Teaching and Technology (COLTT) is dedicated to assisting you with a variety of online learning resources. COLTT’s website, http://utpa.edu/COLTT, contains many useful resources to help you achieve your academic goals. When you click on the site, you will see that it contains links to Blackboard Learn’s On Demand Learning Center as well as their Help Center for Students. These links provide you with the tools to get the most of your online learning experience. COLTT’s FAQs page includes answers to the most frequent issues students will face while taking courses at UTPA, and the COLTT help desk provides technical support for Blackboard Learn and other related instructional technologies.
The COLTT help desk is located in the Education complex, EDCC 2.202, and is available to answer your questions and address issues. During the semester, the COLTT help desk is available for calls, 956-665-5327, and walk-ins Monday – Thursday from 7:30am – 8:00pm and Friday from 7:30am – 6:00pm.
