Limited Submission Opportunities |
Limited submission programs are those funding opportunities where sponsors restrict the number of proposals an institution may submit for consideration for an award. Typically, sponsor guidelines or solicitations will include language such as "Limit on Number of Proposals per Organization" or refer to internal coordination prior to submission. Sponosors with limited submission programs vary, from federal agencies to smaller, non-profit organizations. Coordinating limited submissions is important, since sponsors can reject all proposals received from UTPA if the number exceeds the organizational limit allowed. In these situations, UTPA must therefore internally screen all eligible and interested nominees to determine which will represent the university. The vehicle to do this is through the limited submission "pre-proposal," designed to provide sufficient information to select finalists that can submit full proposals. Internal Pre-Proposal Preparation Guidelines are available here (UTPA Limited Submission Document) Evaluation Criteria - All evauluation criteria given in the program solicitation, announcement, or guidelines should be addressed in your pre-proposal. If additional UTPA evaluation criteria are going to be required, information regarding those criteria will be sent to all eligible applicants via email prior to any internal pre-proposal deadline. Below is a list of limited submission programs in which UTPA currently competes or has an interest in competing. Included are deadlines for proposal submission and links to the program announcement. Please fill out the Limited Submission Pre-Proposal Forms 2 months prior to the proposal deadline for review and selection. Every effort will be made to maintain current and accurate information within this list; however, the awarding agency's posted information remains the final authority. Please note: This list is neither exclusive nor exhaustive, since new programs are developed and existing programs change. Anyone who wishes to apply to a limited submission opportunity that is not posted on this website should contact OSP immediately. OSP will review the guidelines, establish an appropriate internal review date, and post information to the website. In certain circumstances, as when the agency deadline date is within 30 days of notification and time is a limiting factor, OSP may institute an alternative selection mechanism. |
