The University of Texas-Pan American in Starr County will serve as the nucleus for learning in the southwestern part of the Rio Grande Valley. It will be designed to offer ongoing, phased in, upper division and graduate level coursework leading to various professions. Our vision is that the Campus will be designed and equipped to provide on-campus instruction and distance education, such as interactive video and web-based technology. Ultimately, we envision the Center as becoming the hub of learning that will enhance the quality of life for the region.
The mission of The University of Texas-Pan American in Starr County is to provide higher education opportunities to the western region of the Rio Grande Valley served by The University of Texas-Pan American(tm) through a Campus designed to meet the educational needs of the area.
