Step 1: Set up your UTPA user account:

  • If you are a new UTPA student, you will receive your user account and instructions via e-mail. Please follow the instructions provided to set up your account.
  • If you have attended UTPA at any time in the past, you will use your previous user account. If you do not remember your user account, contact the UTPA Help Desk at: (956) 665-2020 or e-mail helpdesk@utpa.edu.

Step 2: Register for classes online at my.utpa.edu

Your UTPA username and password are required to access all online services. If you have questions regarding your password please call (956) 665-2020 or email helpdesk@utpa.edu. Once you are on the myUTPA website, go to the “My Applications” section and click on the “ASSIST” icon. Registration is completed through ASSIST by clicking on Student Services, then clicking on Registration, and selecting the appropriate term. You can then select Add or Drop Classes to register. Other services you can access at myUTPA are Blackboard, email, and the library.

Please pay for your classes by the tuition deadline which is the day before the first day of class to avoid being dropped from your classes. 

You may pay for your classes by logging into ASSIST. Use ASSIST to check your account balance and to pay for your classes, by going to Student Services and clicking Online Student Bill. Emergency loan applications are available online in ASSIST under UTPA Services. For additional payment information contact:

Holds must be cleared before registering.

 

Fall 2013 Graduate and Professional Tuition Rates

Pursuant to state law, The University of Texas System Board of Regents (the Board) is authorized to set tuition.  The Board will consider proposed tuition and fee increases at an upcoming meeting.  The rates in these 2013 – 2014 tuition tables are based on the tuition proposal submitted by The University of Texas-Pan American and represent the maximum tuition that could be charged.  The tuition rates for the 2013 – 2014 academic year will be set after the Board meets.  Your estimated tuition bill will be available at that time.  Your actual tuition bill will be distributed in July 2013.  Your registration will not be completed until your tuition bill has been paid.
