ONLINE APPLICATION
If I decide not to enroll, can I use my application again?
Each application will be kept on file for one year. If a student decides to reapply within one year, they will not need to pay the application fee. If the student was accepted by a graduate program and is reapplying to the same graduate program, the student may use the shorter re-application form.
Can I edit my Application if I have already submitted it?
Please make sure that you have completed all sections of your application before hitting the submit button as it will then be downloaded for review by the graduate office. You may not edit your application once it has been submitted.
ADMISSIONS
How can I find out if I have been accepted?
You can review your status at the Application Web site.
Who is my advisor?
In many cases your Graduate Advisor is your Graduate Program Director. If not, they will be able to tell you who is. Please visit Program Contact Information.
Where can I obtain my Registration Access Code (RAC) number?
You can pick up your RAC number from your program advisor. Starting on Fall 2008 registration, RAC numbers will not be utilized to register for classes. You must see your advisor to activate your ability to register.
When is the deadline to apply for my program?
Each program has its own deadline, please go to Program Admissions on this Web site and select the Master or Doctoral Program. If you have specific questions about the program deadline, please contact the program director.

When will the new catalog be available?
The new 2007-2009 Graduate Catalog is now available online at our Web site.
When is your next Graduate Fair?
The Office of Graduate Studies will be hosting a Graduate Fair on Thursday, March 6th (4 p.m. - 8 p.m.) at the UTPA Annex, 2412 S. Closner, Edinburg TX 78541
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Who is considered an international student?
Any student that is not: a U.S. Citizen, a U.S. Legal Permanent Resident or a Political Asylee to the U.S.
How many credit hours do I need to be enrolled if I have a F1 visa?
9 credit hours pr semester is the minimum; please contact the office of International Admissions and Services for more details.
How much financial support do we need to provide?
The usual amount will be $19,000.00 per year. It depends on the personal situation (if you have dependants, if you are considered Texas Resident for Tuition purposes, etc.)
