Changes to International Student Applications Effective Wednesday, February 27, 2008
Dear Students,
As of Wednesday, February 27, 2008, the UTPA Office of Graduate Studies will implement new procedures concerning the application process for international students. We hope these changes will make it easier for students to complete the application process and begin their studies at UTPA.
Specifically, the change concerns the evaluation of transcripts. The new procedure is as follows:
· International students can now send a copy of their transcript(s) directly to Foreign Crediatials Service of America (FCSA) www.fcsa.biz along with the application.
· The student must bring the original copy of the transcript to the Office of Graduate Studies and a copy will be placed in the student’s file. This can be done at any time after submitting the application to graduate school or during the student’s first semester, but must be done before the student registers for the second semester. Students not complying with this requirement will not be able to enroll for their next semester.
