Chat with a Librarian

This service is intended for quick reference questions. In order for us to best assist you with more complicated research questions we ask that you come by the Reference Desk on the 2nd floor of the Library.

Email a Librarian

Before proceeding, please review the guidelines for use of this service. The Ask a Librarian Form allows you to send reference questions or comments to our library and receive a response from a librarian. This service is intended for use by the faculty, students, and staff of the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley. If you are not directly affiliated with UTRGV, we can only reply to your questions or comments if they concern the university or resources unique to its library. This service can be used to obtain brief answers to short factual questions. We regret that we cannot perform in-depth and detailed research via this service.

In order for us to respond to your question, please provide us with an email address (preferred) or phone number.

Questions will be responded to as soon as possible, normally within two to four days.
