General Book Collection
Books are arranged by theLibrary of Congress Classification System. This is an alphanumeric classification, which means that it begins with a letter of the alphabet and continues with a number. Example of a call number:
HV [major topic]
1994 [publication date]
The Media/GIS Lab provides an array of services to anyone within the university community. Its latest state-of-the-art technology makes it possible for those artistic individuals to complete just about any project they may have in mind from editing videos to color printing. Group Study Rooms
Group study rooms are found along the north and south side of the fourth floor, and are available to students of 3 or more on a first-come basis. The room can be used by an individual as long as there is not a request for group studies. Library staff can ask individual to leave the room when there is a group study request. The Oversize Collection is a collection of large or oversized books, too tall to fit on the normal bookshelves. Spine labels on these books display the word OVERS above the call number. Oversize books with call numbers AP4.T45 and R11.C55 are located on 2nd floor.
Reference books are arranged by the Library of Congress Classification System within the General Book Collection. Reference books are for use only in the reference room and may not be checked out or removed from the library.
Individual study desks are on the north east side and in the middle of the fourth floor.
