Biography
 Walter Lukaszek is a Michigan native who came to the Rio Grande Valley in 1971. He is married to Ernestina Savedra Lukaszek and has one son. He received his AB. degree in Philosophy from the Athenaeum of Ohio and his MSSW from UT Arlington in 1992, part of a joint degree program with UTPA. He worked with Child Protective Services from 1974 until he retired in 2001. At present he is the Title IV-E Coordinator, helping social work students enter the profession in a public service role.
