Equipment & Reagent Loan Program

For schools in remote areas of the Rio Grande Valley that may not be able to participate at the UTPA campus or not on the Mobile Lab calendar, Regional Biotech also offers a loan program that provides equipment, reagents, modules, and expertise upon request.

Interested teachers are trained by Regional Biotech staff to conduct experiments described in the training modules, for which portable equipment is readily available. The teachers can then instruct students on selected experiments in their classrooms.

Necessary equipment is delivered and picked up by Regional Biotech staff, at no charge to the schools.
