Participation in the CPP requires the completion of a minimum of fifteen (15) credit hours per semester. For some students (e.g. those with dual or AP credit) this may necessitate the completion of coursework beyond the pharmacy pre-requisites.
The PharmD degree will be bestowed by UT Austin. All students who will be earning the PharmD as their first degree must complete the UT Austin core curriculum requirements. All students are encouraged to review the UT Austin policies and procedures for
transferring core curriculum credit.
Since admissions to the UT Austin COP is conditional on the attainment of all MOA requirements, all students are encouraged to consider pharmacy pre-requisites required by the other Texas pharmacy programs. The Pharmacy Web Links tab to the left provides links to all of the schools/colleges of pharmacy in the state of Texas.
All pre-pharmacy students are encouraged to complete a sufficient amount of coursework so that they feel academically prepared to successfully matriculate into any pharmacy program. For some students completion of only the pharmacy pre-requisites will be sufficient. Other students may feel more comfortable completing additional courses or a Bachelor of Science degree prior to matriculating into a pharmacy program.
