Margarette Ludlow Shelton PhD, OTR Assistant Professor
Dr. Shelton earned her doctorate in occupational therapy from Texas Woman's University. Her research is focused on adaptation to life-altering disabilities. She has experience as an educator, in both clinical practice and in the classroom. She first worked with adult psychiatric then neurological and neurosurgical patient populations at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston. She taught at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and also worked with persons with traumatic brain injury or orthopedic conditions at the Moss Rehabilitation Institute. She was the Research Coordinator for the Department of Rehabilitation Services at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Dr. Shelton actively volunteers in both the Texas Occupational Therapy Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association. Dr. SHelton is the proud owner of Merlin and Esprit.
