Dr. Celia H. Schultz, Assistant Professor

Dr. Schulz earned her bachelor’s degree in Medieval Studies from Cornell University, her Master of Arts degree from Tufts University- Boston School of Occupational Therapy, and her doctoral degree in occupational therapy from Texas Woman’s University, Houston, Texas. Her clinical experience is in adult and geriatric psychiatry in Massachusetts, Oregon, and New Jersey. Dr. Schulz worked as a recruiter for the CARES Project, an intervention study for stroke survivors and their spousal caregivers at the University of Texas – Health Science Center, School of Nursing, Center on Aging in Houston. She worked as a research consultant for the Younger Residents Study at the Nursing Home Ombudsman Program, also at the Center on Aging. Dr. Schulz is published. Her current research interests include qualitative research on the phenomenology of disability and on collaboration by persons with disability.
