Financial Aid
Although departmental financial assistance may vary in any given year, Research Assistantships (RA) up to $18,000 for fall/spring semesters are offered on a limited basis. The Department may also have summer RA monies, and students are encouraged to inquire about these opportunities. Receiving a RA for the full amount requires students to work on campus 20 hours per week. In certain instances, part-time assistantships may be available. The Department also has a limited number of Rehabilitation Services Administration student stipend scholarships. These would typically pay tuition and fees in addition to providing $1,000 per month living expenses for 12 months. There is a two year for every one year payback component with the RSA scholarship; students should contact the Ph.D. Coordinator or Department Chair for further information. Additional information regarding other forms of financial aid should be directed to the University Financial Aid office.
