The Department offers at the undergraduate level a Bachelor’s of Arts degree for students who chose to major in political science, a Certificate in Legal Reasoning, and Teacher Certification in Social Sciences. We also have a political science minor.

The curriculum of the department is designed to provide:
- Academic training in the theoretical, empirical, philosophical aspects of the discipline.
- An environment in which students can develop basic skills in analysis, critical thinking,writing, and research.
- The background and competence needed to pursue advanced degrees in political science, law or related disciplines.
- A broad liberal education in politics, law and government for all students.
Political science faculty and students are actively involved in such campus activities as pre-law advising, student government and other student political activities.
