Assistantships give students the opportunity to work on campus (up to 20-hour workweeks) and are based on college/institutional demands and funds. Three types of assistantships are offered and include teaching, research and graduate. The Master’s in Public Administration program employs one or two graduate assistants each academic year and sometimes during the summer. To learn more, call 956-665-2545.

UTPA has several scholarship opportunities such as the Excellence Scholarship which becomes available every September 1 and must be submitted by January 15. These scholarships are highly competitive so be sure to apply early at www.utpa.edu/excellence.
