Bill Turk, Interim Director
If you have decided that you would like a career in a governmental agency or a non-profit organization, you are in exactly the right place. The MPA degree gives you flexibility and career enhancing potential. It gives you a distinct advantage either in the initial job selection process or the career advancement process. You will be the employee with the advanced degree; a degree which relates directly to your career choice in public service.
During the summer of 2009 the MPA faculty prepared this Student Handbook to explain in greater detail the specifics of the MPA Program. Click the link below, to open the file. On page three you will find a comprehensive Table of Contents. You can jump to specific sections quickly using the Table of Contents or move through the Handbook page by page, whatever is your preference. As you tour through these Internet pages, there will be notes referencing specific sections of the Handbook. Those sections/pages will give you more in-depth information on the topic being viewed. The Handbook should answer most of your questions, however, if it does not please don’t hesitate to contact me.
