Register Now for Environmental Policy and Environmental Impact Assessment Classes

Students with a single year of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Geology can now register for Environmental Policy offered each Fall semester.  Students completing Environmental Policy can then register for Environmental Impact Assessment.

Students participate in a trawl during a cruise in Port Isabel Harbor.


Graduation- The best part of being an Environmental Science Major

Students are continuing to graduate from the Environmental Science Program. After graduation, many students are choosing to seek internships, professional positions, or attend graduate school.


USDA-HSI Grant Water Quality Study

Tess Thomas and Itzel Torres investigate with Dr. Frank Dirrigl  how agricultural best management practices and canal engineering affects water quality through field and laboratory investigations.


UTPA Environmental Science Weather Station (KTXEDINB3)

Weather data is live through rapid fire updates from Cumulus v1.9.1 and provided by wireless Davis Vantage Pro 2 instruments and module installed on top of the UTPA Science Building. If the weather station's "sticker" is not present and data not available, the computer that uploads from the module temporarily has been interrupted by University updates or changes.
