Research Summary:
Aijie Han received her Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Fudan University, P.R. China in 2005. She was a postdoctoral fellow at The University of Akron from 2005-2006 and at The University of California-San Diego from 2006-2008. In 2008 she was appointed Assistant Professor of Chemistry at The University of Texas-Pan American.
Current research interests include: a) Zeolites and other microporous silica molecular sieves with controlled molecule-sized porous systems; b) Novel applications of nanoporous materials for energy conversion and storage; c) Smart liquids functionalized by nanoporous solids; d) Ion-selection controlled by the infiltration of liquids in nanomaterials; e) Host/guest materials with new nanocomposites.
