Licensed Professional Counselor Track
Upon completion of the Licensed Professional Counselor Track the counselor will have the required professional content areas and Practicum hours to apply for National and/or State Licensure. Upon Licensure, the counselor is prepared to provide services across the life span in the areas of individual and group counseling in public, private, state and/or federal agencies.
The LPC Program offers a 60-hour degree designed to prepare students to pass the Texas LPC exam, and then to practice in community or private practice settings. It includes in-class and reduced seating (partial online) courses in counseling theory; ethics; individual, group, and family methods; career; research; assessment; statistics; multicultural issues; psychopathology; and advance methods in individual and group therapy.
